1. Membership
1.1 Membership is open to individuals and businesses who agree to support the GWT principle: support each other in good times and in bad times.
1.2 Each approved member will be issued a unique Membership Number to be used for all GWT services.
1.3 Membership is non-transferable.
1.4 An Active Member can add up to 5 Beneficiaries.
2. Member Benefits
2.1 Directory Listing: Free listing of your business/service in the GWT Directory.
2.2 Promotions: Free weekly promotion of member businesses on GWT WhatsApp and social media every Monday.
2.3 Exclusive Sector: Only 1 business per sector will be exclusively featured to avoid conflict.
2.4 Support Reward: Bi-monthly reward of UGX 200,000 in Uganda or £40 in the Diaspora to the most supportive member, based on proof of purchases from other GWT Members.
2.5 “I am GWT Member” Sticker: Members are encouraged to display the sticker to identify GWT businesses.
3. Member Responsibilities
3.1 Support Each Other First: Members are expected to prioritize buying from and using the services of other GWT Members.
3.2 Provide Accurate Information: Members must submit correct details for themselves, beneficiaries, and next of kin, and update GWT of any changes.
3.3 Proof of Support: To qualify for rewards or recognition, members must keep receipts/invoices as proof of purchases from GWT Members.
3.4 Professional Conduct: Members must conduct business with integrity, respect, and good customer service.
3.5 Promote GWT: Members are encouraged to refer new members and share GWT activities.
4. Beneficiaries & Next of Kin
4.1 Each Active Member may register up to 5 Beneficiaries with Title, Full Name, Date of Birth, and Contact.
4.2 A Next of Kin must be registered. If the Next of Kin is a child, an Emergency Contact must also be provided.
4.3 GWT will use this information only for member support, communication, and welfare purposes.
5. Payments & Rewards
5.1 GWT rewards are not guaranteed and are subject to available funds and verification.
5.2 Claims for rewards must be submitted with valid proof within 15 Days.
5.3 GWT reserves the right to verify any claim before payment.
6. Use of GWT Brand
6.1 The GWT name, logo, and “I am GWT Member” sticker may only be used by active members.
6.2 Misuse of the GWT brand that brings the community into disrepute may lead to suspension.
7. Data & Privacy
7.1 Information provided will be used solely for GWT community operations, directory, and member support.
7.2 GWT will not share member personal data with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
8. Termination
8.1 Membership may be terminated by the member at any time with written notice of One Month.
8.2 GWT reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for breach of these terms, fraud, or conduct harmful to the community.
9. Changes to Terms
9.1 GWT may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Members will be notified of any changes and updates will also be posted on the GWT Website.
